360 Real Tour Virtual Tour

1st Time Set Up to be Recorded to the Memory

  • Extend legs on tripod fully but leave the head mount in its lowest position
  • Mount camera on tripod, securely, with lens pointing vertically.
  • Attach any necessary Adaptor to the Camera
  • Expose Lens by pulling down the cover
  • Attach Lens to the camera (Do not overtighten.)
  • Adjust tripod until Optic is vertical (refer to bubble level on top of Optic).
  • Turn Camera Power on.
  • If you have a Point Zoom set it to "On". Set ISO to "100" Set AEB (Auto Exposure Bracket) to On by selecting the logo with three images (centre choice). Press the Set button and then using the arrows select the -2 to +2 option. Press Set. Set Quality to the Highest level usually “Superfine” Set Image Size to the Largest level. Set shutter speed to the Highest Number, hopefully about F8.0.
  • Put onto Manual Focus set to correct length of usually approx. 16cm.
  • Adjust the Zoom until the circular image of mirror just fills the screen from top to bottom: (NOTE: Depending on your camera's threads, the image may be slightly off-center. This is normal.)
  • Adjust Focus again, until the image is sharply in focus.
  • Turn the Flash Off
  • Turn the Timer On to approx 10 second delay
  • Press the shutter release. You have 10 seconds to hide!
  • Review the image and adjust the Manual Focus and/or Aperture to obtain uniform focus.
  • Once you have the perfect settings, you may be able to Save the Settings on your camera. This is usually depicted by a C1 or C2. This will save you having to set up the camera each time you do a tour. Now whenever shooting virtual tours, simply set the Mode Dial to 'C1' and the camera will be ready to shoot ! Nothing more to do and no need to complete this set up process more than once.

As we don't know which camera you are using it is impossible for us to give you the exact instructions and settings. We are only able to offer exact details for the Canon Powershot G6, including advanced Auto Exposure Bracketing options, because this is the one camera we recommend. Useful information for over 700 cameras can be found at our manufacturers website of www.eyesee360.com/optic/camerasupport

For the Best Possible Results we would strongly recommend the use of Auto Exposure Bracketing combined with our HDR software. This will take 3 images automatically for each scene in different exposures using the AEB facility on your camera. The HDR software will then automatically merge these 3 images into one final image with the best possible dynamic range. You will never have to worry about what exposure you should use when taking the photo's !
Here's a clickable link sample to show you the difference that can be achieved by using the HDR Software.

If using the AEB facility set it for the max. difference in exposure between shots and if you have a “Safety Shift” that makes automatic corrections set it to “Off”
